Ancol, A Family Gathering

NEAREST BEACH IN TOWN, ANCOL - AUGUST 2017

My sister is on her 2nd trimester of her 1st pregnancy. She complains a lot about her pregnancy. So, i decided to invite her for a short relaxation near to her home, which was  Ancol . I booked 3 Superior Rooms for our own, my mom and aunt, and my sis and her husband. We stayed at Aston Marina Ancol (https://www.astonhotelsinternational.com/en/hotel/view/26/aston-marina-ancol), it cost around IDR 700K/room/night. However, different with Aston Anyer, in this hotel you have to deposit IDR 500K/room due to mini bar and snacks :(

What i loved most about this hotel, was that their couches in the room and kitchen utensils and tools. In the lobby, you will get a free drink and there is a photo corner that you can use for selfie or we fie.

Per usual, we always look for the swimming pool. In this hotel, they have 3 separate pools at M1 floor. Despite the fact that the  kids really love the pools. Yet, the water in the pools were cold and too windy. Only the large pool that was clean, while the others looked like they full with algae.

The good thing about the pool area, was that there were a lot of cabana, so you can sit everywhere. Even they have bean bag sofa.

Wonderful thing about this place, is that they have a great Chinese Restaurant (choose the one in the corner that is Halal. The other one has the Pork Menu).

I would say, the food tasted great. Compare eating in fast food chain or in a diner...this is a value for money. We even order some foods to bring to our rooms.

This hotel serves various kind of food, from Indonesia, to western and eastern (do not surprise about the fact that there are so many Arabian families stay here).

After swimming, we spent the entire night in the rooms. Although i would recommended to go to the Rooftop, where you can see some exquisite views of the city. Since we missed the city view, once we checked out, we decided to go to Ancol and ate in Solaria, inside Ancol Beach City Mall...if you think Ancol does not have white sand and great view...well you are wrong. Try to visit this, at least you can pretend that you are in Bali ;)

Although the boys were unable to swim in the sea.. at least they were having fun collecting sands :)
